There were 38 DARABOSs that came thru Ellis Island to America but none from Minaj. Hope you also posted on Ukraine's board. No Darabas from Minaj/ Minay even when I use One Step www.stevemorse.org
Hello, I is a born Darabos and my father and my grandfather was called also Darabos György and my brother and its son is called Darabos György. Our family lives in Hungary in Bekescsaba, however we have Slovaki to move forward. My grandfather and my father spoke slovekisch. My great-grandfather was named Pal Darabos and came to the United States about 1898. I don't know his father's name or his mother's name. He was a moulder in the steel factory. Is the name Pal Darabos from this year familiar to your family? A photo of he and his wife are here.
